Product story

Each Ava lamp begins as liquid porcelain, slip-cast in precision plaster molds honed for clean seams and bubble-free surfaces. After a long, slow dry, the piece is high-fired and finished to reveal a calm, even radiance that traces every facet and curve.

Care

Dust with a dry, soft microfiber cloth. Handle with care—porcelain is strong but not impact-proof. Always use LED bulbs and avoid moisture exposure.

Handcrafted character

Each lamp is cast, trimmed, and finished by hand. Minor variations—small pinpoints, tool-traces, or millimetric differences—are part of the material’s life and proof of a human process.

About seams & colour

We engineer our molds for tight registration and carefully refine seams. With translucent porcelain, faint seam lines may remain and can appear slightly more visible when lit—this is normal and part of the making. Also note: the photographed colour of illumination can vary by camera and screen; in person, Ava reads as a warm, candle-like 2700K glow.

Natural firing movement

At peak temperature, fine porcelain may relax slightly, producing a gentle flare at the base. This is part of the material’s character—never affecting function—and is kept within our aesthetic standards so it reads as subtle in normal use.
